DJ Kicks, known to most as “Kicks” fell in love with music at a young age in the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a child, he would hang out with his grandfather who introduced him to artists such as Ray Charles, Bobby “Blue” Bland, and Miles Davis just to name a few. Kicks’ music journey started with playing the sousaphone in his local high school marching band. After graduating, he wanted to continue the love for music that was still in his system. 

In 2012 he decided to become a disc jockey to showcase the music that he learned over the years. Today, Kicks has become one of top DJs in the state of Louisiana, seen performing at weddings, night clubs, schools events, corporate events, concerts, back yard parties, or wherever music is needed. He is also widely known for his love for sneakers, which is how the name “Kicks” came along. Combining his love for music and sneakers has made him into the person he is today, DJ Kicks!
