Darius "Go DJ Black"  Boykins was born and raised in Baton Rouge, La. Family from New Roads and Innis, Louisiana. He started DJ’n at the age of 16. In 2006 he discovered his passion for music. Currently he is Mobile/Club DJ. He has worked major events throughout the city over the years. He has worked with major artists concerts such as YFN Lucci, Yo Gotti, Kevin Gates, Boosie BadAzz, Luenell (Comedian) and more. In 2017 he was brought into the Go DJ’s (Baton Rouge Chapter).

Watching the movie “Juice” gave more inspiration to be a DJ. His father, the late Mitchell “DJ Mitch” Herbert was also a DJ around the city and in the country. Mitch also played piano and sung at multiple churches. Darius' Grandfather and Grandmother also both had their own gospel group called “The Mitchelets”. Black's uncle Wade had a music school that taught Vocal Lessons, Piano, and more. His favorite instrument is drums. He does it all; Weddings, Vowel Renewals, Church Events, Corporate Events, Live Sound, School Events, Mixtape Hosting, Lighting for events, Etc. He can do it all!
